About the Artist

Brianna is a 2019 graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Dance. She was a former dancer with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company but currently, she is a dance teacher for many dance studios and summer camps in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a freelance dance artist. Brianna focuses her drive as an artist and teacher from a creative point of view. She educates herself on equality of any sex, race, sexuality, and profession through the lens of African & African American history and activism. She has recently utilized the art of poetry and combined it with dance to further her creative voice towards social equality. Constantly keeping the stories of the ancestors close, Brianna lives through her favorite African Proverb, “I am because we are, and because we are; therefore I am.”
